2019

As this year comes to an end we have so many great things to share with you and all of our mission partners and friends. Without God's provisions and your generosity the mission would not be able to supply the items to those needing assistance.
Here locally in May our team along with several local churches and organizations set up at Tom Pack Ball Field for a day of family fun and fellowship. This day is set up all free of charge with games, bounce houses, singing, gifts and a free meal. We had 175 guest attending along with several volunteers.
We made several trips to KY during the past year to deliver clothes, shoes, food, and back packs full of school supplies. These were delivered to different mission houses and churches, were they set up giveaways and hand delivery items to those living at or below the poverty level.
In August the mission partnered with The Servants Closet in KY to supply several hundred pairs of shoes, socks and backpacks. This event also included a family fun day of snacks, snow cones, cotton candy and bounce houses. Several people accepted Christ during the church service and at the prayer table.
Our annual Fall Outreach for 2019, was held in Clay City, KY. We had 100 volunteers from SC and 2 from NC this year on the trip, from 15 different churches. Our day began at Full Gospel Lighthouse with 300 guest for preaching, music, singing, praising and many came forward to accept Christ, and prayers for the sick. God's Holy Spirit was felt during the church service and many were blessed. Each person attending received coats, shoes, socks, caps, gloves, blankets. clothes, Bibles and groceries. Everyone attending received a free hot dog lunch and all the children received a snack bag full of goodies. After the event we shared with three Kentucky ministries, items they gave away to their communities and families for Christmas.
On December 14th our team along with five other local churches set up a Day Of Blessings at Piedmont Church of God. We had 250 guest attending the event, 32 people accept Christ and over 50 volunteers. Our day began with all our guest joining us in the sanctuary for a time of music, preaching, and our teen drama team. Then our guest proceeded to the outer buildings to receive many goods, including free shoes, ladies personal care items, coats, socks, caps, gloves, toys, groceries, Bibles, and blankets. Everyone received a free meal to take home. We were so thankful for all of the mission team and volunteers coming together to help make this event a success.
Our next project for December was to help 120 children in our surrounding area receive Christmas gifts, they otherwise would not have been able to receive. We had 51 children sponsored and we really appreciate all our sponsors who helped make this happen. We also appreciate South Side Baptist Church for hosting a Christmas party for all the children and their families. The event began with a service in the sanctuary with Christmas music and preaching. The children joined us in the fellowship building for a fun time with learning the true Christmas story from our puppet team. The children really had a blast getting a visit from Santa and receiving fun gifts.
We have also helped many families replace their belongings that was lost in a fire. And we have donated to help our local school Sue Cleveland with school supplies, and personal care items. We started our first "Blessing Box", located on Hwy 20 Piedmont. You may wonder what is a Blessing Box. Well it's a water proof plastic box were we placed nonperishable food items everyday to help alleviate hungry in our community. People are invited to "take what you need, leave what you can, and be blessed" If you would like to contribute to the box come by anytime and drop off food items located at Cooper Jones Furniture 1 Bessie Rd Piedmont, SC.
It has been a busy year and we thank each and everyone that has contributed in any way to the mission. If you donated items, money or your time volunteering or have said a prayer for the team we really appreciate all of the help that allows us to help others.
So as year fifteen comes to a close in missions for Appalachian Ministries of The Carolinas please be in prayer as we wait for God's direction where He would have for the ministry team.
May God bless you as you bless others, and work together for His Kingdom and all for His Glory!
In HIs Service,
Delbert and Rachele Hart
